KAZUKINLAB has gained a new research theme: MUSIC.

Until now I've posted guitar recordings and mused about the music I like, but I've finally reached the point of “trying to make songs myself.”

That said, KAZUKIN isn't suddenly becoming a singer.

I'm not a good singer, and passing myself off as a young DJ-style artist is a stretch in both age and looks.

So I thought.

Then I'll just create a label.

What is KAZUKINLAB MUSIC?

KAZUKINLAB MUSIC is a small virtual label for researching and producing music within KAZUKINLAB.

What KAZUKIN handles: song ideas, lyrics, chord progressions, guitar playing and musical direction.

With the help of generative AI, I add arrangement and vocals and finish each piece as a song.

It isn't about leaving everything to AI to make songs.

KAZUKIN's ideas × AI

How interesting a music can that make?

It's that kind of experiment too.

The goal: a sound that suits the night

What I'd like to center KAZUKINLAB MUSIC on right now is

Neo Soul / Chill R&B / Lo-fi

music.

Mellow, slightly urban.

Sound that flows naturally during night work, a drive, or just zoning out.

I'd like to keep a bit of the live feel of guitar in it too.

I can make various genres, but first,

I'll start by making a sound that makes people think, “Yeah, this is the vibe when you listen to KAZUKINLAB MUSIC.”

KAZUKIN is not an artist but a producer

At KAZUKINLAB MUSIC, virtual artists sing the songs.

I plan to give each of them a name, visuals and musical character, and grow them little by little.

KAZUKIN himself stands as

Founder / Producer.

In short, something like the label's president.

I don't sing; I supply songs to handsome boys and girls.

Quite a convenient system has been completed.

Four artists have started activities

We start with four artists on the roster.

I made one song for each.

They're all KAZUKINLAB MUSIC works, but voices, characters and moods differ a little.

I plan to increase the songs and firm up each one's musical identity.

And someday I'd like to try collaborations and duets between the artists.

There seem to be many ways to play that only a shared label can offer.

First, make the sounds I like

There's no big goal decided.

Will it go on YouTube?

Will the songs increase?

How many artists will there be?

I don't really know yet.

But KAZUKINLAB has always been

a place to try, investigate and record the things I like.

Music is the same.

Songs are born from guitar I played myself, and words that occur to me become songs.

With AI, things I couldn't do before are slowly taking shape.

And so,

KAZUKINLAB MUSIC, open for business.

Play a little,
make a little,
listen a little.

And of course,

mostly lost.

That's how I'll research music too.
