It's been about two years since I started using the Galaxy S22.
To cut to the conclusion,
it's still going strong.
The operation is smooth.
The screen is beautiful.
The photos are plenty beautiful.
I've almost never felt a lack of performance in everyday use.
When asking AI questions, when taking photos on trips,
it's a phone that makes me think “this is enough.”
The battery is another matter
...But.
Just one thing.
The battery.
You're a different story (lol).
It was supposed to be 100% in the morning, but by noon
“Wait?! It's already dropped that much?”
As reviews often say,
I think the S22's biggest weakness is indeed the battery.
I use an iPhone too, and
in feel, some days I think,
“Isn't it draining at about twice the pace?”
Of course, I haven't measured it accurately.
But it feels like it drains at about that pace (lol).
Why I still won't replace it
Even so,
if you ask whether I'd replace it for that reason...
The answer is NO.
Because
I got it for the ¥20,000 range.
Come on.
This performance at this price is a foul.
Beautiful screen.
Plenty of camera.
Comfortable operation.
Apart from the battery,
almost no complaints.
The undervalued-stock mindset
From the viewpoint of contrarian investor KAZUKIN,
this phone is exactly
an “undervalued stock.”
In the market, only negative material is talked about:
“The battery is weak.”
“It runs hot...”
But
you pick it up once the price has fallen enough.
And then
“Huh? Isn't this really good?”
It's exactly the same mindset as stocks (lol).
If the S22 were a stock
If the Galaxy S22 were a stock,
KAZUKIN's evaluation would be this:
PER: dirt cheap.
PBR: undervalued.
Earnings: only the battery division is in the red.
Overall rating: long-term hold (lol).
Summary
Of course it can't match the latest models.
But considering I got it for the ¥20,000 range,
rather than complain,
it's the level where I want to say “Thank you.”
The charger has become my best friend,
but even subtracting that, I'm quite satisfied.

it's a super blue-chip smartphone.

I'd like the dividend (battery) to try a bit harder (lol).
