KAZUKIN likes McDonald's coffee.
The reassurance of a ¥150 medium with a coupon
What's especially appreciated is the price: ¥150 for a medium with a coupon.
In 2026, in a world where everything quietly but surely gets pricier, seeing the number 150 yen is a little reassuring.
“There's still a friend of ordinary people here.”
It even makes me feel that way.
Lots of ice, and that's part of Mac coffee
A medium iced coffee with plenty of ice.
On a hot day, stick in the straw and gulp, and cold coffee rushes into a dry throat.
Delicious.
Of course, with the first sip the ice shifts vigorously, the straw's position moves, and you suck only air with a “slurp.”
But that's part of Mac coffee too.
At this price, it's by no means “just cheap coffee.”
It has solid bitterness and aroma, and is more than satisfying to drink after a meal or while on the move.
With prices continuing to rise, I can only be grateful to be served iced coffee of this quality at this price.
The stylish life, and reality after paying
Of course, coffee at a stylish cafe is good too.
Calm lighting.
Wood-grain tables.
Quietly flowing music.
And beans from an origin whose name I can't quite make out.
A cup bought at over three times Mac coffee's price in that kind of space is certainly delicious too.
Just holding the cup, I feel a little like a person living a stylish life.
But after paying, I return to reality.
“How many Mac iced coffees could I have had for one cup of coffee?”
The moment I start that calculation, KAZUKIN has not yet become a resident of the stylish life.
It's no longer coffee, it's an investment case
My wallet isn't loose enough to always choose expensive coffee.
If anything, KAZUKIN would rather keep spare capacity to buy stocks than spend it on coffee itself.
If I save ¥300 on an iced coffee, how much is that per year?
Once I start thinking like that, it's no longer coffee but an investment case.
So normally I gratefully use the coupon shown in the app.
Open the coupon, say the number, pay ¥150.
There's no hesitation in this whole flow anymore.
McDonald's iced coffee isn't a cup for a special day.
It's a cup you can casually drink in daily life: between work, while shopping, on a drive.
Even daily, the damage to my wallet is relatively small, yet the satisfaction is solid.
Exactly an undervalued, quality blue-chip.
KAZUKIN's rating is, of course, long-term hold.
Mac Cafe is great, right?
